I am in receipt of your letter of the 14th May the contents of which I am communicating to my husband. I should be glad to learn within the course of the next few days whether you are prepared to give me reasons for your refusal, as I should like my husband to have the se reasons before him if possible when considering what

steps he should take in London in view of that refusal.
